An elderly Italian man who lived on the outskirts of Rimini , Italy , went to the local church for confession.
When the priest slid open the panel in the confessional, the man said: "Father.. During World War II, a beautiful Jewish woman from our neighborhood knocked urgently on my door and asked me to hide her from the Nazis. So I hid her in my attic."
The priest replied: "That was a wonderful thing you did, and you have no need to confess that."
"There is more to tell, Father. She started to repay me with sexual favors. This happened several times a week, and sometimes twice on Sundays."
The priest said, "That was a long time ago and by doing what you did, you placed the two of you in great danger, but two people under those circumstances can easily succumb to the weakness of the flesh. However, if you are truly sorry for your actions, you are indeed forgiven."

"And what is that?" asked the priest.

"신부님,그 뿐이 아녀요. 그녀는 제 호의를 갚는다고 성적인 호의를 베풀어 왔어요. 일주일에 서너 번씩이나. 가끔 일요일엔 두 번씩도. "
신부님: "그거 오래전의 일이고 그러느라 당신들 두 사람, 아주 위험한 처지에 있었고 그런 상황에서는 두 사람이 다 약한 육체에 쉽게 넘어가게 마련이지요.. 그러니 당신이 진정으로 잘못했다고 생각한다면 당신은 참으로 용서받은 겁니다. "
"고마워요, 신부님. 제 마음에 있던 큰 짐이 풀렸네요. 질문이 하나 더 있는 데요."
"그게 뭔데요?" 신부님이 물었다.
"그녀한테 전쟁이 끝났다고 말해 줘야합니까?" |
